Sri Jagannath Temple Administration's Chief Administrator Arvind Padhee Signs MoU with Officials of NTPC, CESU for Lighting System along Grand Road (Bada Danda) on Saturday in presence of CM Naveen Patnaik, Tourism Minister Maheswar Mohanty and Chief Secy JK Mohapatra at State Secretariat in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged the Prime Minister not to table the proposed Prevention of Communal Violence (Access to Justice and Reparations) Bill, 2013 in the ongoing winter session of the Parliament hastily and demanded for a wider debate and consultations. In a letter to Manmohan Singh, the chief minister on Saturday expressed strong reservations about the new draft bill. "I feel that an impression is being conveyed that the Govt of India is more concerned about the communal disturbances and law and order in states, as compared to the states themselves. Obviously this view will not be subscribed to," Patnaik said in the letter.
