Couple murdered over suspected sorcery

Keonjhar: In a gruesome incident, miscreant axed a couple to death suspecting them of practising witchcraft at Kolahandala village in Joda of Keonjhar district, police said today. The couple identified as Mangal and Sukaramani Munda.

The miscreant is absconding after committing the crime.

According to sources, the couple went missing two days before. Their son found the bodies from the nearest forest today and lodged an FIR in local police station.

However, no arrest has been made till now. Police are investigating into the case.

Notably, another couple was found murdered with throat slit in Nayakote area of the same district last month.
